(CNN) -- The Netherlands came from a goal down to beat 10-man Brazil 2-1 in their World Cup quarterfinal clash in Port Elizabeth on Friday.
An early goal from Robinho had put Brazil in command, but in the second half the Dutch drew level when Wesley Sneijder's cross was deflected into his own net by Felipe Melo.
Inter Milan's Sneijder then headed his team ahead in the 68th minute after Arjen Robben's corner had been cleverly flicked on by Dirk Kuyt.

Read moreVan der Sloot is the main suspect in this week's slaying of 21-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez, who was found Wednesday in a Lima, Peru, hotel room registered to the Dutch man. Chilean police told CNN that paperwork showed that van der Sloot entered Chile on Wednesday.
Peruvian Interior Minister Octavio Salazar Miranda said Thursday that Peru has made arrangements with Interpol to extradite van der Sloot.
Van der Sloot also faces an arrest warrant on charges of extortion and wire fraud in Alabama, U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance said Thursday. The charges are unrelated to the killing of a Peruvian woman, and deal with an attempt to sell details about Holloway for $250,000, Vance said.

Read moreKLM, taken over by Air France in 2004, will remain a Dutch company based at Schiphol airport, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Wednesday. The paper says transport minister Camiel Eurlings is set to unveil the agreement made with Air France-KLM later on Wednesday. There were fears that the French majority shareholder would dismantle KLM, causing Schiphol to lose its role as an international airport. The paper says the basic agreement was made in 2004, when the Dutch government gave the green light to the merger. Now, however, it has been extended indefinitely, the paper says.

Read moreThe Interphone study is the largest-ever international research conducted on a possible link between brain cancer and other tumors in the head and mobile use.
A total of 2,708 people with glioma-type brain tumours and 2,409 people with meningioma-type brain tumours in the study were compared with normal subjects. Overall, the study showed no increased risk of brain tumours among those who regularly used mobiles for 10 years. "Had there been a greater risk after more than 10 years of mobile phone usage, we should have seen it in Interphone," Maria Feychting, professor of epidemiology at the Karolinska Institutet and head of the Swedish portion of the Interphone study, said in a statement "The results are consistent with available experimental research that has failed to demonstrate any carcinogenic effect from the type of radiation cell phones emit. They also correspond with previous epidemiological research."
That is good news for some of our editors of NewsFlash2000! :) ! I don't give names, but a dutch phrase says: "Who fit the shoes, put it on!"
